PARTNERS IN ACTION
Promoting Healthier Lifestyle
PARTNERS IN ACTION is a grassroots youth driven Community Based Organization in Kawangware Dagoretti South. We target adolescent youth 10-24years in-and-out of school, and the touts and drivers of public service buses 18-30years, with HIV prevention activities to help reduce the spread of the HIV virus, other STIs and elimination of stigma. We seek to empower youth with knowledge on their sexual and reproductive health. We carry out various activities such as training health educators, educative video sessions inside public service buses and Divas Connect’ – a platform created exclusively for young girls to connect and safely discuss issues related to their sexual and reproductive health.

Partners In Action employs three (3) Innovative interventions to help achieve our AIM. See below;
MTV SHUGA
Screening and Facilitation
MTV SHUGA is an audio visual tool covering a wide range of topics on sexual and reproductive health, correct and consistent condom use and HIV testing targeted at adolescent youth. Currently we carry out the MTV SHUGA screening and facilitation in a moving public service bus popularly known as “Mathree” targeting students commuting from school to home and the drivers and touts offering transport services to students.

"Dame Ka Mimi" Divas Connect’ – a platform created exclusively for young girls to connect and safely discuss issues related to their sexual and reproductive health including prevention of HIV.
MOBILE HIV TESTING AND COUNSELING

Partners In Action carries out mobile rapid HIV testing and counseling at the kawangware bus terminus targeting out of school youth and the drivers and touts of public service buses.
